Aesthetician and owner Marilyn Anderson holds a degree in veterinary medicine. Helping animals in need is the most important and most meaningful work she has done and continues to do. M. Waxing is committed to working with organizations directly helping and caring for animals. Being part of the medical team with the HSUS after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 was a life-changing experience. Being able to help those who cannot help themselves is a main reason for opening M. Waxing.

Most recently Marilyn purchased all the kennel beds for the Sikeston MO PAWS rescue facility. A company goal is to have marathon waxing days on which 100% of all gross proceeds will go to organizations directly saving animals from euthanasia and directly funding needed surgeries.
