General FAQs

How long does my hair have to be?
For any waxing service to be effective you must have three weeks’ growth from shaving, four weeks’ growth from waxing. It’s that simple.

Does it hurt?
Bikini waxing hurts the most the first time and gets easier the more you do it.

Can I wax when I have my period?

Yes, but you may be more sensitive. Taking an ibuprofen 20 minutes before your appointment should help.

When should I not wax?

  • If you are using Accutane or have used Accutane in the past year (please wait 12 months after your last dose before scheduling a wax).
  • If you have any kind of sunburn or laser burn.
  • Please stop using any retinol product 72 hours before waxing.
  • You should not wax if you are diabetic without a doctor’s permission.

Can I bring my partner/friend into the room?

We only allow one customer into the room at a time (with the exception of a parent of an underage child being waxed).

Is there anything I should do between waxes?
You should exfoliate between waxes, especially if you are prone to ingrown hairs.

Is there an age requirement for waxing?
Yes, all clients 17 and under must bring a parent.

Yes, the products are safe and mild. They are high quality ingredients made in the USA. They will not hypopigment the skin or irritate the skin. They can also be used on any skin color.

Are the ingredients safe?
Yes, they are natural ingredients and very safe. They are not cytotoxic like hydoquinone, which has been banned in Japan and Europe.

Does it hurt?
No! In fact most customers tell us it feels soothing and cooling.

What results should I expect?
You should see a difference in the first treatment, with immediate brightening visible. The best results require consistent in-home use.
